Microsoft Corp. said it will buy video game maker Activision Blizzard Inc. in a deal worth about $75 billion, with Activision Chief Executive Bobby Kotick expected to leave the company after the transaction closes, according to people familiar with the plans. (The Wall Street Journal) Microsoft’s acquisition gives it a further foothold in the video game business, and it comes after Activision was roiled by accusations of sexual harassment and employee misconduct, which Kotick allegedly knew about but did not disclose them to the company’s board.
