The Federal Communications Commission is hosting a virtual event Tuesday on “Connecting Black Communities: Federal, State, and Local Strategies for Closing the Digital Divide.”

Why it’s worth watching: Expanding broadband access across the country has been a major focus for the Biden administration, especially after the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure package last year that included $65 billion toward the effort. So far, 10 million households have signed up to receive broadband subsidies through the Affordable Connectivity Program, according to the White House.
