Activision Blizzard Inc. CEO Bobby Kotick could be in line for a $15 million “golden parachute” if he is fired without cause by Microsoft Corp., according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission about Microsoft’s planned takeover of Activision. Kotick, who came under fire for his handling of sexual misconduct allegations at the video game maker, could also receive up to $22 million in stock as soon as July if Activision’s board sees an improved company culture, while the board has reserved the right to extend his contract for another year past its March 2023 expiration.
